Octopus salad is easy to make, even for children. But, if you're too young, be careful with the knife when you're cutting vegetables.
You'll need:
cooked octopus tentacles (200 g)
1 lemon
vinegar (we like red wine vinegar)
1/2 onion
2 carrots
1/2 paprika pepper
1/2 green pepper
1/2 yellow pepper
1 cucumber
olives
olive oil
parsley
black pepper
salt
How we make it? This is our method:
We usually buy cooked octopus tentacles so we have the just quantity and it is easier to prepare becuse it is cooked at the right point. If we buy freezed octopus we cook it (withouth defrosting before) a couple of minutes in the microwave with some water.
Dice the octopus and all the vegetables.
Mix them alltogether.
Add lemon, parsley, salt, black pepper, olive oil and vinegar as you like.
Store in the fridge until you have to serve it.
We hope you enjoy the salad and that you follow our blog and videos.
Today we're doing our second cooking session. We´ll cook hummus and it will be delicious!!!
The word Hummus comes from the Middle Orient and it really means ... chickpea in Arabic. The recepie we are going to show in the video is typical of the Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine cuisine.
You can pick it up with pita bread or with carrots or snacks of bread as we usually do.
The ingredients for hummus are:
tahini
lemon juice
garlic
chickpeas
We like to add some black pepper and sweet paprika.
The ingredients of tahini are:
sesame
liquid (water or oil)
salt.
We usually use olive oil because it is healtier.
The hummus should have a proper texture, neither too slack nor too stiff.
We will make a potato salad with tuna. It's so easy that you can do it without any problems.
I also give you a small pill of science in the kitchen. Watch the video and try too ....
Please, use the following ingredients:
Potatoes (enough for four people)
Canned tuna
Salt
Olive Oil.
This salad is easy to make and very tasty. If you like, you can add more ingredients such as olives, boiled eggs, oregano or tomate cherry.
Be careful, you can get burnt with boiling water and as a result of using too much salt you can get sick, so use the less possible. 😾😾😾😾😾😾😾😾😾😾
To save water and reuse it, you can reserve the potato boiling water for watering plants when it is cold: it is rich in nutrients!
We hope that you enjoy our cooking experience and the salad.
