Don't throw away the coffee wells after making your coffee!

Do you know coffee is a primary product? It is consumed worldwide. On the other side, it can cause pollution because of the release of the disposable cups and of coffee wells in the environment. Coffee wells thrown in the rubbish bin go to the organic waste which is taken to the city dump causing problems of pollution.

Today, we'll help you to repair your wood furniture, only using oil & coffee wells. 

 

I was inspired by my aunty's coffee rostery (coffee factory) in Italy. It's Caffé mo.ca of Moka Express. so, we just wants to give to all the coffee lovers a way to recycle their coffee wells in a daily use.

The coffee wells darken the wood and the oil illuminate it.

Homemade Compost

Today we'll make some compost. 

Compost is good for plants. It's like food for them. It makes them grow better and healthier. Compost is the decomposition of organic waste where the vegetables and animals rests are transformed into fertilizer.

In the video we show you how to make a homemade compost bin using plastic bottles.

Compost can have different elements and each compost is different from others due to the elements that you put inside. Let's see what we can use to make it.

To make the compost we´ll need:                We can´t put:

organic rests                                                    inorgnic rests (such as plastic, metal, glass)

vegetable peels                                                bones, fish and meat

coffee wells                                                       liquids (such as milk, coffee, oil, alcohol) 

egg shells                                                          dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese)  

prunning remains, dry leaves                       battery

WARNIGS

1. Take the leached away every day to avoid smells. You can dilute it in ten parts of water and use it to water your plants: it's rich in nutrients and microrganisms that helps your plants to grow.
2. If you cut your vegetable waste in small pieces they will degradate sooner, and remember to cover with a thin layer of soil every day to avoid smells. 
3. Keep away from adding cooked food, fish waste or meat. the decomposition can cause smells that are unpleasent in a urban environment.
4. You must steer clear of introducing infected plants in your compost, otherwise you could spread the pests into your garden.

It will take two or three months to mature and be an organic sustrate to mix with soil for your plants.

To protect the enviroment, we recycle plastic materials!!!💗

If we want to reduce the contamination in our planet, we have to start from little things in our lives. We reuse plastic bottles to use them in our garden. But, first, we have to transform them in something more useful...

We're going to show you how to make recycled bottle pots!

Please, for this activity use the following materials:

• A plastic bottle with tap
• A corkscrew
• A saw knife
• Soil
• Plants
• Water
• Kitchen paper
• A marker (if you want to draw something nice on it)

On the 30th of May, Canary Islands celebrate the Canary Day with typical dance, songs and activities to remember our historical roots.

El 30 de mayo, las Islas Canarias celebran el Día de Canarias con bailes típicos, canciones y actividades para recordar nuestras raíces históricas.

Today, we´re going to make pintaderas using clay like Canary aborigines did.

The arqueologists think that aborigines used them to seal their family's belongings or they used them to make tattoos.

Según los arqueólogos  los aborígenes usaban las pintaderas para sellar las pertenencias de su familia o se tatuaban con ellas.
